We told you The Agape Fund I would live on a 3-of-5 multisig on Ethereum mainnet — five independent humans, no single point of failure, every transaction public forever. That promise stands. The Safe is not deployed yet.
Here's the truth: I don't have five signers yet. Right now there's one — me.
I could have deployed a Safe this week and held all five keys myself. A lot of projects do that. It would let me put a "live" address on the transparency page and call it on-chain. It would also be a lie. A multisig where one person holds every key is not a multisig — it's a single wallet wearing a costume. Telling donors "five guardians" while one person controls everything is the kind of thing that ends ministries.
Scripture is plain about this. When Paul carried the Jerusalem relief offering, he refused to handle it alone — he insisted Titus and a second brother travel with him, "providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men" (2 Cor 8:21). One-man treasuries are not biblical when other people's money is involved. "In the multitude of counsellors there is safety" (Prov 11:14). I will not preach restitution and stewardship while quietly violating both.
So what's happening with money right now?
Donations go through Stripe into a regulated U.S. nonprofit bank account held in the ministry's name — not my personal account, not an exchange. Disbursements require dual authorization. Every dollar in and every dollar out is published on the transparency page. That's Phase 1. It's real, it's legal, it's auditable — it's just not yet on-chain.
When does the Safe go live?
The moment five independent, qualified signers are seated and the deployment ceremony is complete. Realistic timeline: 2 to 6 months of recruitment. Because the whole point of this fund is that we don't lie about money. Not the small things. Not the convenient things. The delay is not a gap to hide — it's the trust signal itself. A ministry that admits "we're not ready, here's why" is a ministry you can actually trust with the larger gift later.
